Gcal and iCal Subscriptions Temporarily Disabled

The Gcal and iCal subscription features found on the Hubbli Calendars have been temporarily disabled while we work to make improvements to the system.

This means that your parents will temporarily need to login to Hubbli to view any updates to the calendars you make from today onwards.

We suggest sending a newsletter or group post to all your parents to make sure they are aware of this update.

 

Allowing Weak Passwords

It is now much easier for users to reset their passwords.

Why did this change come about? Well now that we have updated Hubbli to allow parents to get updates and respond to them without logging in, parents are logging in much less frequently.

This means that they have a harder time remembering their passwords which in turn means they have to keep updating their password.

Our system used to require a ‘Strong’ password reset but this was causing too much frustration for parents to we have disabled that requirement that users can now reset their password to whatever they like, no matter how weak of a password it is.

The All New Hubbli Programs Feature

We added a new feature to Hubbli call Programs.

This makes is way easier to manage students.
Enroll students into any kind of program.
Allows you to filter students by program and connect any teachers to any programs.

Here’s what happens when you create a program:

• A communication group is automatically generated for that program.
• The Teachers of that program are added as the Admin of that group,
• Parents of students enrolled in that program are added as members, likewise when you un-ernroll a student, the parents are removed from the group.

Now students are also tied directly into invoices so you can filter invoices not just by the family account, but also by the student.

Hubbli Pay Is Here

Now you can send parents invoices and allow them to pay online and only pay 1% for transaction fees.

About one year ago, after many requests from customers, Hubbli launched an invoicing system that allows parents to pay their tuition, or other school invoices online. We used to require the school to create an account with Paypal, Stripe, or Authorize.net in order to take online payments. The problem was that the processing fees on those services are too high.

Now with Hubbli Pay you no longer need a 3rd Party payment processor and can accept payments online vie eCheck and Credit Card at a much lower fee.
